Robert J. Beles graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Ohio University in 1964. Immediately after his graduation, he moved to San Francisco to continue his education. Mr. Beles earned his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law, University of California in 1967. In 1968, he was admitted to practice law in State Bar of California and in 1979; he started his own practice.
As an experienced Oakland criminal defense lawyer, Mr. Beles has tried over 100 jury trials ranging from misdemeanors to death penalty murders. In 1975, he was certified as a Criminal Law Specialist by the State Bar of California.
